As well as meeting weekly to worship God, we ordinarily hold regular events that allow us to spend time together as brothers and sisters in Christ. After all, since we're spending eternity together, it makes sense we get to know one another a little first. And of course, you're very welcome to come along.

Parents & Toddlers Group

Moira Methodist Parents & Toddlers Group meets every Wednesday from 10am to 12 Noon in Moira Methodist Church Hall.

There's a large play area complete with underfloor heating, toys and refreshments for little ones, parents and grandparents alike.

Open to everyone, you don't have to be a member of Moira Methodist Church or any church to attend. And best of all, admission is absolutely free. Why not come along and find out more?
Sunday School & Breakfast Bible Club

Jesus Himself recognised we can learn much from children and young people. In Matthew Ch.18 v.3, He said, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’ That’s why children are an important and inspirational part of the life of our Church.

We have a small, but vibrant Sunday School. It's staffed by committed Christians and provides a safe and structured opportunity for children and young people to learn about God and to explore their Christian faith. All Sunday School Leaders are approved to work with children. We follow the strict, safeguarding policy of the Methodist Church in Ireland.

Our Sunday School meets weekly from 10am during Morning Worship, with a free healthy, hearty breakfast provided too!

Men Together

When Jesus met His friends and disciples, frequently He didn’t just feed them spiritually; He fed them physically too. We see this when He fed the 4,000 and the 5,000. And when Jesus met with His disciples at The Last Supper and on the shore, following His resurrection.

That's why our Men Together Fellowship meets for breakfast on the first Saturday of each month from October to April. Meetings last around 1 hour 30 minutes. As well as an opportunity to enjoy a hearty Ulster Fry, meetings provide an opportunity for Christian men to enjoy a time of Christian fellowship.

A guest speaker is usually invited to discuss a topical issue and to answer any queries or questions we may have. Invited speakers have included politicians, missionaries, ministers, charity workers, fundraisers and aviators. We take time to reflect and pray and support and encourage one another too.

Methodist Women in Ireland

Methodist Women in Ireland (MWI) is active across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It aims to:
  • Enable members through fellowship with each other to deepen their personal commitment to Jesus Christ;
  • Relate the teaching of Jesus Christ to life in the home, the church, the community and the world;
  • Share in the mission of the World Church
  • Provide a link with the women of other churches in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and throughout the world.
Moira MWI meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 8pm in Moira Methodist Centre, from October to May.  There's a varied programme of speakers who freely share their faith, gifts and talents. All women are very welcome to come along. Or why not bring a friend? A warm welcome is guaranteed.

We also meet for coffee one Friday per month in one of the local cafes. This informal time together is invaluable as we chat and enjoy a time of fellowship with each other. For more information, check out the Church Newsletter or follow us on Facebook
Moira Faith & Friendship Group

Moira Faith & Friendship Group meets monthly from September to April and provides an opportunity for Christians from different Churches locally to meet and explore our faith together. It is one of many Faith & Friendship Groups which meet regularly across Northern Ireland and draws Christians together from a wide variety of faiths and backgrounds.

Typically, we read selected passages of scripture, followed by reflections on these by the Rev. Ruth Patterson of Restoration Ministries. Discussion is encouraged at both stages. There will also be a time of prayer and a time for fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee too. At present, Moira Faith & Friendship Group is hosted alternately by Moira Methodist Church and St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Magheralin. Everyone is very welcome to attend.
